Both the new-generation Massive MlMO array antennas for 5G and phased array antennas in satellite communication and radar applications feature narrow beamwidths andhigh gains. Since the scanning plane truncation angle does not need to be ≥90°, planar near-field measurement serves as an ideal solution. The planar near-field testing system consists of an XYZ three-axis planar scanner and a antenna positioner/mount kit. This system not only measures the three-dimensional radiation performance of the antenna under test but also supports efficient element calibration for phased arrays. Equipped with Mikwave's proprietary near-field measurement algorithms, it is suitable for both R&D and production testing of antennas.
