For testing high-frequency products such as those operating in the mm-wave and terahertz bands, it is often impractical to meet the conditions for direct far-field measurement. The Compact Antenna Test Range (CATR) technology provides a more suitable testing solution. The CATR system employs a specially designed reflector precisely matched with a feed assembly to create an excellent quasi-plane wave test zone (quiet zone) at a short distance. This allows for direct measurement of various antenna performance parameters, requiring only limited space, it achieves testing results comparable to those of large far-field anechoic chambers.
